So let us hope you are aware of feedburner service now and you are already burning your blog feeds using it. Hope you are well aware of read more link in blogger which are also known as Excerpts. Have a look over the below image which shows how a “read more” link is shown on your feedburner feeds.
I have noticed many number of users who read the blog posts of a certain blog using some feed reader services like google reader and they never bother to visit your blog. This is the purpose why feedburner was introduced to make sure that blog posts gets delivered directly into the inbox of the subscribers. Thus a big loss of regular readers. The real fact is the number of returning visitors, blog followers, regular readers and daily active users are the main target of blog admins, however the simplicity offered by feedburner services have decreased the number of returning and active users on blog. Thus to retain regular readers of your blog, adding Read more link on feeds is one of the necessary task thus attracting the visitors smartly with just blog titles and a short description making them to visit your blog. So let us move with the simple tutorial on how to add read more links on your feeds.
1. Be sure that read more link have been added to your blog posts using the jump breaks which can be found inside the post editor of blogger.
2. Burn a new feed for your blog and add your feed address in the Post Feed Redirect Url box which lies under the settings --> Other tab.
3. Now above this post feed redirect URL you can notice an option called Allow blog feeds, Choose until jump breaks option in it and save your settings.
This completes your task and you can notice your feeds with read more links. The only difference found is, the read more link on your blog expands your blog post however the read more link on the feeds follows particular post url of your blog.
